Exclusion: Third-country public authorities/international organisations in law enforcement cooperation

Description

The Regulation does not apply to public authorities in a third country nor to international organisations falling within scope under paragraph 1, where they use AI systems within the framework of international cooperation or agreements for law enforcement and judicial cooperation with the Union or Member States, provided the third country or organisation provides adequate safeguards for fundamental rights and freedoms.
